Position based in out trading hub in Geneva. TotalEnergies has developed a strong expertise in oil and biofuels, natural gas and electricity trading. Trading entities are based in Geneva, Paris, Houston and Singapore. TotalEnergies installed its European trading hub across in Geneva, which now bring together very large teams around trading activities: TotalEnergies Trading & Shipping (T&S) and TotalEnergies Gas and Power (TGP). T&S is a trading company in charge of all physical trading and shipping of crude oil and refined products on behalf of the TotalEnergies Company. It has been an active participant all over the supply chain as well as on the derivatives paper market in order to manage the market risk for a long time. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Analyst Intern to join our team. This internship offers hands-on experience in procurement operations, data analysis, and supplier management. The successful candidate will support strategic sourcing initiatives and contribute to process improvements that enhance cost efficiency and supplier performance. As a Procurement Analyst Intern within T&S Trading Operations, you will join a 30-member team supporting business operations and preserving PnL, particularly within the Operations Technical and Services (OTS) team. Your responsibilities will focus on procurement activities for service providers such as inspection companies, superintendents, and additive suppliers. You will help optimise procurement processes, manage tenders and RFPs, and improve cost transparency and contract coverage, while also contributing to the enhancement of procurement tools and fostering strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Activities The internship takes place within the fast-paced environment of international oil trading. The OTS team supports Trading Operations and Front Office teams by managing relationships with external service providers. The intern will interact with various internal stakeholders including trading desks, operations, invoicing, legal, and compliance, and externally with service providers across inspection, customs, and logistics domains. Key Responsibilities Assist in collecting, analysing, and interpreting procurement data to support decision-making. Identify service providers that do not have current framework agreements or whose KYC information is outdated. Support the preparation of RFPs or Tenders, and supplier evaluations. This includes gathering relevant requirements from stakeholders, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete, and coordinating timelines for submissions. Evaluate supplier proposals by analysing pricing, compliance, and value-added services to recommend the most suitable partners for our operational needs. Help monitor supplier performance and compliance with contracts. Maintain procurement documentation and update internal databases. Participate in cost analysis and benchmarking activities. Oversee onboarding for each service provider to ensure compliance with HSE, contracts, pricing, and internal standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, operations, IT and legal. Engage in price negotiations with service providers to drive costs down while maintaining high service quality standards. Represent TotalEnergies professionally and uphold the company’s image in all interactions. Proactively contribute ideas and suggestions to enhance the effectiveness and usability of our procurement tools. Being a driving force for continuous improvement is essential in this role. Objectives Gain hands-on experience in service procurement within a global trading organisation. Improve contractual coverage and cost transparency across service providers. Enhance the usability and autonomy of our procurement tool. Contribute to the development of procurement guidelines. Streamline service provider onboarding and maintain TotalEnergies’ standards.

Profils recherchés

Last year of Master degree in Engineering or Economics or Marine transportation or Business School You have a strong interest in commodities trading You have prior experience in one of these areas: market analysis, trading operations, risk or have gained some experience in logistic optimization or economic model development Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential. Proficient in data analysis with Excel and visualisation tool like Power BI. Proficient in Python is a real plus Fluent in English and French Flexible, goal oriented, fast adapting, good communicator internship must be covered by a tripartite agreement
